What is "All-on-4 Teeth in a Day?"

For patients with several missing teeth or who require several dental implants, the All-on-4 Teeth in a Day is a modern procedure that can restore your entire upper or lower row of teeth, in just one day. All-on-4 is similar to regular implants, except it permanently restores your smile using just four dental implants, eliminating the need for timely individual implants or messy dentures.

You've come to the right place! Nassau County Periodontist, Dr. Stephanie Sfiroudis can give you All-on-4 implants that feel and look just like your own natural teeth. These cutting-edge implants are easy to maintain and require the same oral hygiene, such as flossing, brushing, and regular dental check-ups.

What Happens During the All-on-4 Procedure?

The All-on-4 procedure is a minimally invasive, painless procedure that only requires about 3 hours to complete. During the procedure, dental implants are placed in four locations in the jawbone to replace your bottom or top teeth. Next, an abutment is then affixed to attach your new set of teeth. Lastly, your natural teeth are replaced with a new set of teeth.

The All-on-4 procedure differs from other methods in that instead of securing six to eight dental implants to replace the teeth; it utilizes a unique technique to angle just four implants so they can reinforce all of the new teeth.

The result is a permanent replacement that feels, looks and functions similar to your natural teeth. And since it only requires four implants, patients can enjoy new teeth in just one day. To accommodate same-day treatment, your dentist will make your impressions to fit your new teeth the same day as your All-on-4 procedure. Some Benefits of the All-on-4 procedure Include:
  • Replace dentures with an option similar to your natural teeth
  • Provide an entire row of teeth (bottom or top) for patients with several damaged or missing teeth
  • Chewing tough foods such as fresh vegetables and fruits
  • Laugh with confidence
  • Helps restore facial structures and contours
  • Speak confidently
  • Smile with confidence
How Long Does it Take to Recover?

The All-on-4 procedure provides all the benefits of traditional implants, but with less recovery time. The All-on-4 generally takes approximately six to eight weeks to heal; however, patients can normally eat within a few weeks following the procedure. Until then, patients may be instructed to only consume soft foods until the implants are stabilized.

All-on-4 vs. Traditional Dental Implants

Traditional dental implants replace the roots of the tooth so that a crown can be permanently attached. The All-on-4 procedure functions under the same notion, except it only requires the strategic placement of just four implants, which allows patients to walk away with a full set of teeth in just one day. The All-on-4 procedure also allows for just one recovery period as opposed to other procedures that require various procedures. And while traditional implants are relatively costly, the All-on-4 procedure provides the same day implant surgery, which helps lower costs.

Who is a Good Candidate for the All-on-4 Procedure?

Not all patients are good candidates for the All-on-4 procedure. Before deciding on treatment, your oral surgeon will conduct a thorough examination of the condition of your teeth, at which time, they will determine if you are a good candidate for the All-on-4 procedure. The All-on-4 procedure is Ideal for Patients Who:
  • Wish to replace decayed or damaged teeth with just four implants as opposed to individual dental implants
  • Currently, wear dentures as a result of missing teeth
  • Are losing their teeth to gum disease or tooth decay
